THE HAND DRYER

Certified Bureau of Pneumatic Hygiene. Est. 2026. No hands have ever been dried beyond what this unit considers sufficient.

About the Bureau

The Bureau exists to monitor airflow exposure, a service it provides, and to certify dryness, a standard it alone sets. Both are taken very seriously.

The Drying Protocol

Every second of held airflow is logged as a contribution to the Dryness Index. Releasing early is logged too, as a withdrawal of one.

On the Dryness Index

The Index approaches its certified ceiling the longer airflow is held, by design slowing its climb the closer it gets. It has never reached that ceiling. The Bureau considers this expected behavior, not a defect.

On Mandatory Cooldowns

Twelve seconds of continuous airflow triggers an automatic shutoff, timed to protect the motor rather than to finish the job. The Bureau makes no claim about what state your hands are in when it happens.

Standing Policy

The Bureau does not offer a louder setting, has not considered one, and notes that your continued presence under the nozzle is itself a form of contribution.
